J!ResQ for iphone app for iPhone and iPad

The J!ResQ, a smart phone application for emergency contacts at the time of natural disaster, enables you to quickly send an email message concerning your safety with a voice note and your GPS location to your families and friends.

In emergency situations, an email message with your GPS information and voice note is automatically sent to the email addresses (max. of 5 numbers) registered.

Operation procedure

Step 1: Setting

Set up the address of the email source.
Please set the email address you normally use.

This email address will be used for your safety search on the web, so please set the correct email address with care.
(If the email address is set inappropriately, the email address will not be found on the web.)
Register the email addresses to be contacted in an emergency.
You can register a maximum of 5 email addresses that you want to send the message to.
Typing a message (1 line)
Type your name and a simple message.

Step 2: Sending a email message in an emergency

Record a voice note automatically.
2 seconds after this application starts up, the recording mode starts automatically.
Sending an email message
The email application starts up when you press the send button during the recording or when the 10 second recording is completed.
Press the send button to send the email message.

Step 3: Receiving email messages

Main text of the email message
You can receive a text message showing the time and GPS information (longitude and latitude) of the sender.
GPS information
Click the link provided on the message to go to the map which will display the position where the email was sent.

Audio file (attachment)
"An audio file is attached to the email message.
The audio file is created as a wav format, and it may not be played on mobile phones other than a smart phone (hereinafter called non-smart phones)."

Step 4: Checking safety on the web.

Type in "Digital Office [Japan] Inc." on search engines, and click the link to the J!ResQ website.

Safety search
As you enter an email address for search, you can check the latest email message from that address with its GPS information and voice note.
(The latest message from each email address is retained.)

iPhone OS 4.0 or later version is required.
